How do I plan for teaching in the event of emergencies?

- Download student contact information (R-MC email addresses) from MyMaconWeb.
- Have a consistent communication strategy to avoid confusion. Outlook email is the official R-MC communication tool. Canvas Announcements is effective for communicating course-related information to students. Instruct students to set their Canvas Notifications properly.
- Back up all your teaching materials in R-MC OneDrive and/or G-Suite. This allows them to be more readily accessible from any computer or location.
- Know that resources are available for using Canvas tools for content presentation, student participation and interaction, and learning assessment.

Consider teaching online, using lecture capture (aka screencast) and/or video conferencing. If your computer does not have a built-in microphone or camera, you may borrow them at the Library Information desk.
