What is a DOI and how can I search with it?
Answer
A DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, is a unique alphanumeric identifier applied to a physical, digital, or abstract object. They are often used to identify these objects in an online environment.
This just means a DOI is a newer way of identifying articles, chapters, or books that you find during your research. If you find mention of a resource with a DOI during your research, you can search for it via the International DOI Foundation, at the bottom of this webpage: https://www.doi.org
*Remember to sign into your library account before searching. This will let you see if you have full text access to the material you're searching for.
