How do I make an appointment for research help?

Answer

You can make an appointment with a research librarian to help you with any stage of a research: identifying a topic, asking a research question, identifying sources, paraphrasing, literature reviews, citations, and more! Librarians can help you identify good search terms and leverage the resources available in print and electronically, through the McGraw-Page Library, Google, and around the world.

Making an Appointment

  • You can ask general questions for immediate help through the Library's chat on the homepage.
  • Or you can make an appointment with the subject librarian in your department for more targeted help. To do that, go to https://library.rmc.edu/research/librarians to find your subject librarian and click the "Schedule Appointment" button.

Librarians can meet with you between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday in-person or via Teams or Zoom. They can also answer research questions over email.

You can also stop by the Library during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) to see if someone is available to help you, even if you don't have an appointment.
