How do I get tutoring at the library?

If you need to schedule an appointment with a tutor to get help with a class or paper, or you just need to figure out where to meet your tutor in the library for your appointment, read below!

Answer

The Higgins Academic Center (HAC) offers both tutoring in specific subjects and peer academic coaches (PACs) to support learning at Randolph-Macon. You can learn more about the differences between tutors and PACs and schedule an appointment with either using this link: https://www.rmc.edu/academics/academic-support/subject-tutoring/.

If you already have an appointment and need to meet your tutor, you will likely meet them near the HAC on the first floor of the Library. If you aren't sure, you can contact your tutor directly, as some prefer to meet on the 2nd floor of the library where it can be quieter.

You can also schedule an appointment to meet with a librarian if you help with a research project. You can do that using this link: https://rmc.libcal.com/appointments. Select whether you would like to meet virtually or in-person, and identify the date/time that works best for you.
